On religious beliefs:

  • Philosophy would try to find whether a set of religious beliefs are true under the light of reason, it will build and destroy epistemologic abstractions and will construct and refuse arguments about them.
  • Sociology wouldn’t care about the truth but on how real they are for people, how they were shaped and how do they affect human nature.
  • Psychology wouldn’t care for the humanity as a whole but on how a person behaves because of those beliefs and the extent of mental processes that are biased from them.

And all of them are quite valid and deeply interesting…
